The concept is to envision a collection for Year 2020, basing on the designer’s feel about Singapore. Although we are a small country with limited resources, we are able to achieve the result of being developed so quickly and known internationally. It is really amazing. How did we achieve it? A strong value we believe in is “with foresight, innovation and perseverance, to work towards progression for a better tomorrow”. An optical illusion motif has been created to express the effect that viewing from far will have a more in depth sight, in conjunction to what Singapore is today was visualised at least 60 years ago. This motif has been converted into prints and incorporated into the designs.
